The Alpina Heritage Tropic Proof watch reference AL-480S2H6 takes inspiration from an original model developed by the brand in the 1960s. Its case was manufactured by Borgel, which Alpina pays homage to in this modern design. A new silvery white dial now replaces the original display, once complimented by tritium material to uphold legibility in the night. It does, however, maintain its yesteryear proportions of 34mm, making it one of the smallest modern day throwbacks on the market.

The Alpina Heritage Tropic Proof watch reference AL-480S2H6 is crafted from polished stainless steel to uphold its dress watch appeal and features a domed sapphire glass, which replaces the original acrylic crystal. It also features a stylish tan Alacantara strap that secures around the wrist with a stainless steel pin buckle. Additional features include a 30 meter water resistance, Super LumiNova coated dauphine hands, and a closed caseback that conceals a hand winding movement behind its Alpina engraved inscription.
