This remarkable Bremont H-4 Hercules Rose Gold Limited Edition watch has been released as tribute to the iconic H-4 Hercules plane of the 1940âs. Famously known around the globe as the âSpruce Gooseâ, this vast silver ship was as legendary as its inventor Howard Hughes, an American genius who had the ambition of building the worldâs largest aircraft. This breathtaking Bremont limited edition incorporates some of the original birchwood veneer from the famous plane within the automatic winding rotor which can be seen through the exhibition case back where the veneer is beautifully shaped into four propeller blades.
This Bremont H-4 Hercules Rose Gold watch is also the first of its kind to feature the new Bremont BWC/02 movement, a calibre based on the original BWC/01 that was built in partnership with the movement house La Joux Perret. The automatic winding movement is housed within a 43mm 18 carat rose gold case crafted using the brandâs famous Trip-Tick case construction and provides incredible GMT functionality alongside classic central hour and minute hands, a small non-hacking seconds hand at 9 o clock, a date window at 6 o clock and a power reserve of 50 hours. The vintage brown metal dial commemorates the wooden construction of the H-4 Hercules plane while the large Arabic numerals and Superluminova coated hands provide easy legibility in low lighting. To complete the aesthetic of the Bremont H-4 Hercules watch, a luxurious brown alligator leather strap is added while within the special packaging, which includes the original aileron fabric from the aircraftâs control surfaces sewn into the English made bridle leather, an additional NATO strap is included.
