In celebration of their 60th anniversary, Grand Seiko have launched an all new quartz calibre within one of their stunning Heritage models, meet the Grand Seiko 60th Anniversary Heritage Collection Limited Edition. The new Calibre 9F85 is part of the legendary Grand Seiko 9F series, a range of quartz movements renowned for their accuracy, durability, beauty and ease of use. The 9F85 quartz calibre is no exception, aged and riotously tested over a period of three months to ensure the only the most accurate and best-performing components are used within this Grand Seiko Limited Edition watch.
The Grand Seiko Heritage Quartz 9F85 Limited Edition cements its brilliance with a unique time adjustment function that allows the hour hand to be adjusted without the need to stop the seconds hand, a feature perfect for those crossing time zones on occasion. The 9F85 also delivers an incredibly accuracy of ±5 seconds a year alongside sleek hands for hours, minutes and seconds and a date window at 3 o’clock. The handsome blue coloured dial has a unique marking with a 2020 pattern to remind the wearer of the special anniversary year. The dial sits at the centre of a 40mm stainless steel case kitted out with a smooth fixed bezel, screw in crown, stainless steel bracelet and an 18 carat yellow gold screw down case back decorated with the legendary Grand Seiko lion emblem. Thanks to the screw down case back, the Grand Seiko Heritage Limited Edition promises a water resistant rating of 100 metres while the scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass has been especially treated with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface to optimate the dial’s legibility.
