The new model features a stealthy grey-PVD-plated stainless steel 41.5 mm case, a second time zone, a pulsometer scale and a punchy gradient red dial. Weâve been making pilotâs watches for more than a century. In 1938, we released the Big Crown, a piece with an oversized crown designed for use by gloved airmen thatâs been in production ever since. The ProPilot takes the spirit of that model (and its crown) into new territory, mixing materials, finishes and functions to deliver ultra-reliable contemporary pilotâs watches. The ProPilot GMTâs second time zone is indicated by a central hand finished with a red pointer. The bezel pulsometer scale for measuring heart rates is inspired by relationships Oris has with some of the worldâs most pioneering aeromedical organisations. Legibility is always paramount in a pilotâs watch. The matt grey-PVD-plated finish offsets cockpit glare, while bright lume on the hands and applied indices makes them pop against the high-contrast gradient red dial, also the colour of adventure. The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement with a 42-hour power reserve and comes on a black textile strap with a red leather lining and Orisâs patented âLiftâ clasp, inspired by commercial airliner seatbelt buckles.
